Lenses
Light control with highly efficient and outstanding optical design.
Total Internal Reflection (TIR) is the lossless reflection of a light beam from a surface as a result of the
underlying physical principles when the beam hits the surface between media from the optically denser
side above a certain critical angle. This effect is used in collimator lenses. Light control is provided
over the hemispherical radiation of the LED with optical lenses that can capture the emission of a light
source.
The optical collimator surface most commonly takes advantage of the TIR phenomenon to achieve
high efficiency beam deflection.
